What to Do When Every Day Looks the Same

Are you feeling hopeless? Do you ever catch yourself looking out of the window thinking, when will it get better? It may appear as though your prayers aren't being heard or God is out somewhere tending to other business too busy to answer you, but it is simply not true.
As we step out to appropriate what God has already provided for us in His Word there are times when it looks like nothing is happening. But in times like these when it seems every day looks the same we have to live up to our name as “Believers” in Christ and in His Word. As Believers we must choose to believe the Word even when our circumstances scream the opposite.
The Bible says in II Corinthians 4:18, While we look NOT at the things which are seen, but AT the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. (KJV) If your focus is on the things happening around you and you are allowing it to get you down, then your focus is off. You have to keep your eyes on Him and what He has said.
I recall falling into the trap of looking at my surroundings when they didn't seem to change. Day-in and day-out as I believed God for my mate nothing was improving. I was beginning to think that it was all for naught until God, in His efforts to encourage me, gave me a dream.
In the dream I was sitting on the sidewalk with friends as I used to do as a child. I was thinking about how nothing was going on. Then in the same instance I could see far off into the heavens. In the heavens I could see an intense battle going on. Instantly I knew that this battle was taking place as a result of my prayers.
Upon awaking, it gave me encouragement to know that even though nothing was happening in the physical realm, there were certainly things happening in the spiritual realm.
It was my belief that If I didn't quit, once the battle was won by my warring angels, I believed I would see things change in my physical realm. And eventually things did change. And the change came suddenly.
Another point I want to make is this: If too much times passes without things changing, do not hesitate to ask the Father to show you why things aren't moving. God is dependent on you to move in your life. Anything the Father has given you, requires your attention and participation in order to see the manifestation in the physical realm.
I used to think I could pray one prayer and that's all it took to receive anything I needed from God, but this was faulty thinking. And as I held unto these wrong beliefs life went by without my enjoying the benefits of having what I needed from God.
I learned the hard way through trial and error what I heard a minister sum up in two sentences. He said, “Don't go by what you see and certainly don't IGNORE what we see. You'll have to refuse to take no for an answer.” If you are believing for the manifestation of your mate and days and weeks or even years have gone by with each day looking the same, then it's time to do something about it. It's time to stop going by what you see and it's time to stop ignoring what you see also.
Don’t Go By What You See
Don't go by what you see, but go by what you believe. Just because things may LOOK as if nothing is changing, doesn't mean it's true. Never entertain thoughts that God didn't do His part. Believe what the Word says, (that you have received the answer to your prayer) and refuse to let anything move you from your position of faith.
Don't Ignore What You See
If you have established your heart in faith that God did answer, you are no longer going by what you see. Now you mustn't ignore what you see either. Since what you now believe is contrary to what you see in the physical realm, immediately you must make an effort to correct it.
If you are believing God for your mate and your physical circumstances are saying otherwise, it's time to get into to prayer and the Word to find out why. The Word teaches us that the things which are seen are temporal, i.e., subject to change, and to see the changes you desire you are the one who must instigate it.
The Father and His angels will assist, direct and aid you as you set your heart to receive what God has already provided.
Refuse To Take No for an Answer
And last, refuse to take ‘no’ for an answer. Refused to be denied and refuse to be delayed. Don't wallow in the thoughts of your own limited thinking.
Decide to win. Make the decision that you'll have the victory even before you know how to do it. After all, not knowing shouldn't stop you because you have the greater One living in you.
In addition, you shouldn't be consulting your physical mind on things of God anyway. Proverbs 3:5-6 instructs us to, 'Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.' (KJV)
So put your trust in Him and don't rely on your own understanding. Instead look to Him and He promises to direct your paths. So at any point when you need direction, help or wisdom you have His Word that if you would put Him first, He will direct you. Therefore if you have been believing God for your mate for a long time and nothing is changing it's time to look to Him --the One who loves you deeply and knows your situation intimately.
In closing, as you seek the Father about your situation here is a checklist of things to help you begin:
1. Check to see if you have any wrong beliefs about faith, i.e., receiving by faith, standing in faith or putting action to your faith.
2. Make sure there is no doubt of any kind lingering in your heart. The Bible says that Jesus couldn't do many mighty works because of their unbelief. (Matthew 13:58)
3. Make sure you have done the last thing the Father said. The bible says He will instruct us and teach us in the way that we should go. He will guide us with His eye. (Psalms 32:8)
4. Make sure you have been exercising your faith and taking action toward it. Faith without works in DEAD being alone (James 2:17). The woman with the issue of blood would never have received her healing had she not fought through the crowd to reach Jesus. (Matthew 9:20)
5. Don't hesitate to ask God for a status of what you are believing for. The disciples did. They received authority to heal the sick from Jesus but in one instance they were unable to manifest it. The very next time they were with Him, they inquired as to why. When they asked why they could not cast out the demon, Jesus responded. He told them it was because of their unbelief. (Matthew 17:20)
If you ask the Father about the manifestation of your mate and why it is taking so long, He will respond to you, too. And whatever He tells you, do. He has your answer and knows what it will take for you to see the manifestation.
