THE IMPORTANCE OF HEARING god’s voice

God may have given you a Word that it is your season to believe Him for your mate or you may be pursuing it because it's in His Word. While others may be faced with the dilemma of having someone in their lives and are not sure the person is from God or not.

Whatever the case, reaching the next stage will involve hearing God and getting His instruction. Whether you are standing in faith for God to send you a mate or standing for someone you believe is your mate, hearing from God is key.

For instance, if you have been seeking the

Lord about marriage and someone approaches you. How do you know if this person is God sent? How do you determine if any of the decisions you make in life are correct without getting God's direction, first?

Regardless of the situation you face, hearing God is the most secure place to be. Whether you face a mountain or a molehill, the best position you want to be in is to have an intimate relationship with God and be able to hear from Him.

For as long as you can hear His voice, no situation can totally overwhelm you. You may even get knocked down, but the Holy Spirit will help you up again.

God is speaking to His people all the time, but why can't we hear Him sometimes?

One of the biggest ways to cut off hearing from God is to look at your circumstances. Peter learned the hard way. In Matthew 14:30, when Peter looked at the circumstances, he started to sink. His continual connection with the Lord was cut off when he diverted his attention to the wind. And like Peter, the things you see in your circumstances will hinder you.

Another reason why we might not hear

God is being in the world -- not necessarily the evil things of the world -- but everyday life. As you live your life in the flesh and get caught up with work and other things, it can harden your heart toward God.

Because God is a spirit, and He reveals things to us by His Spirit, it becomes much simpler to decipher when a communication is from God when you have spent time with Him. But if you are in the flesh or walking by what you see; you won't be able to hear God.

Another enemy to being able to hear from God clearly is satan. Anger, offense, frustration, discouragement, lust, wrong thoughts, temptations, hard circumstances are a few tactics satan uses against us.

I am certain, if you could see into the spirit realm there were many times you were close to seeing your manifested answer, when unexpectedly something made you angry or discouraged. Or satan put up some hard circumstance in your path and it took your time, attention and faith off the husband or wife you were believing God for.
Therefore as you believe God for your mate, hearing God is essential. Because as, you hear God to obey Him; and as you recognize satan tactics and defeat him; your faith will work and you will obtain the prize. You'll meet the one God has for you.

So don’t neglect your job and don’t neglect your responsibilities, but give God and His Word equal time and you’ll live out His promises. †
